About The Position

The Building Controls Technician I role focuses on managing key project elements including scope, cost, schedule, and staffing. This position involves coordinating with external vendors, overseeing contractual commitments, and thoroughly reviewing technical documents. The technician will respond to project inquiries, closely monitor costs and progress, and efficiently manage all project resources and costs. Collaboration with sales and engineering teams to establish project scope and objectives is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

Associate degree in a field related to construction (i.e., engineering, architecture) or equivalent related work experience required.
2 years' of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects.
Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed project phases.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
10-hour OSHA certification required.
Primary project financial competence (budget, labor, costs, billings), forecasting (% complete, % billed), KPI's (financial, productivity, quality, culture), and reporting (progress, schedule).
Strong communication skills.
Adaptability.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Must be authorized to work in US.
Ability to travel extensively with a valid Driver's License.
Prepared to pass an extensive background check for government badge.
