Building Automation Systems Manager
About The Position
The Building Automation Systems Manager will lead the strategy, design, and optimization of HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS) across Uline’s portfolio of more than 55 facilities. The role manages and develops a team of Building Systems Engineers, oversees BAS upgrades and integrations, and establishes enterprise-wide standards and cybersecurity practices. The manager works with Operations, Facilities, and Construction teams to identify and carry out building improvements, and evaluates emerging technologies and automation opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and workplace comfort. The position is based at Uline’s corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, and requires travel to Uline’s North American locations as needed. All positions are on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 7 years of Building Automation Systems experience, including BAS programming and controls design.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls architecture, and building performance optimization.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and large-scale building automation initiatives.
- Ability to travel to Uline’s North American locations as needed.
Responsibilities

- Manage and develop a team of Building Systems Engineers by setting priorities, establishing best practices, and providing technical guidance.
- Oversee BAS upgrades and integrations, and establish enterprise-wide standards and cybersecurity practices.
- Partner with Operations, Facilities, and Construction teams to identify and execute building improvements that support reliable, efficient operations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and workplace comfort.
