About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Building Automation Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of building automation projects from initiation to completion. You will manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, coordinate with installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of building management systems, HVAC controls, and automation, along with technical expertise in electrical systems and commissioning.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required. If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment.
• Proficiency in project management software and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
• Review and approve engineering submittments and technical drawings before handoff.
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
• Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project.
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
