About The Position

The Building Automation Project Manager II is responsible for managing resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements. This role coordinates projects in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimates, and manages all document control for projects, including RFI's, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal logs, submittal logs, change order logs, and issues logs. The Project Manager is accountable for financial management on all assigned projects, prepares project billing revenue forecasts and schedules of values, and reviews all estimates and change orders for accuracy. They also prepare installation subcontractor bidding documents, negotiate subcontracts, and obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with Schneider Electric's quality policy. Additionally, the role involves preparing and updating project schedules and cost estimates, preparing and delivering final project documentation to the customer, collecting payment, and being responsible for all customer-facing communication.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years in a Project Management Role
  • 5+ years in the controls industry
  • Related industry knowledge
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of contracting procedures and tactics relative to project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC control systems
  • Ability to analyze control system drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of contract law, codes, standards and industry construction knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills including team leading and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility

Nice To Haves

  • Data Center experience strongly preferred
  • PLC experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and updates project schedule and cost estimates
  • Prepares and delivers final project documentation to the customer and collect payment
  • Responsible for all customer-facing communication
