About The Position

The Facilities Management department delivers essential services such as operations, maintenance, housekeeping, environmental health and safety, emergency management, and construction to ensure safe, clean, and functional environments. As a Building Attendant I, you will help maintain these standards across patient care and prevention facilities. The ideal candidate for Building Attendant I is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn infection prevention and safety practices. No prior education or experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking stable employment and growth.

Requirements

  • No prior education or experience is required
  • You are considered ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL.
  • May be required to transport Covid-19 suspected and/or positive trash.
  • Proper fitting of required PPE may necessitate trimming or shaving facial hair because beard growth or facial hair prevents the necessary seal between the respirator and the face.
  • The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks in assigned areas
  • Inspect spaces to identify needs and ensure quality standards
  • Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Record and report cleaning activities to supervisors
  • Collect and dispose of trash, sharps, and special waste
  • Support floor care including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in satisfactory condition
  • Comply with all institutional policies and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
