About The Position

This full-time, permanent, and onsite Builder position in the Phoenix, AZ area is responsible for overseeing residential construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with building codes, company policies, and quality standards. The role emphasizes safety, effective communication with various stakeholders, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in residential construction with building homes from start to finish
  • General knowledge of applicable residential building codes
  • Proficient in construction scheduling with builder software
  • Must have, or be able to become, 10 hour OSHA certified
  • Must have, or be able to become, SWPPP Certified
  • Exemplify excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibit computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and construction scheduling software)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to walk over uneven terrain
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related program preferred
  • BuildPro software experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to procedures as required by the subcontractor Scopes of Work and Mattamy Quality Standards and take corrective action as necessary
  • Conduct a detailed frame check on each unit prior to drywall, in accordance with Mattamy Policy and Procedures, and follow up to ensure the timely completion of any items noted
  • Ensure all work is being done in a safe manner and enforce safety standards
  • Oversee internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and others
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and perform special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor
