About The Position

The Caldwell Homes Builder leads the day-to-day construction of assigned single-family homes. The role takes ownership of jobsites, coordinates skilled trade partners, resolves field issues, and works with customers throughout the homebuilding process. The Builder helps ensure each home reflects Caldwell Homes’ quality, care, and professionalism.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction or a related field.
At least two years of residential construction experience.
Working knowledge of residential construction methods and building codes.
Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
Ability to coordinate trade partners, address field issues, and keep multiple priorities moving.
Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
Pride in work and a professional approach to representing the Caldwell Homes brand.

Responsibilities

Lead daily field operations for assigned homes and walk each home regularly to monitor progress and quality.
Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, set clear expectations, and follow up to keep work moving.
Confirm construction follows approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and Caldwell Homes’ quality standards.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
Use company construction management systems to track activity, maintain daily logs, and complete inspection reports.
Prepare homes for inspections, identify issues early, and follow them through to resolution.
Work with customers throughout the construction process, representing Caldwell Homes with professionalism, care, and respect.
Support Design Center efforts and uphold the Caldwell Homes brand in customer and trade partner interactions.
Take ownership of details and follow through on commitments from the start of construction through completion.
