About The Position

As an Assembly Builder Floor Lead with nVent Management Company, you will play a vital role in constructing premier metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. You will serve as a working floor supervisor, engaging in the construction and fitting of components while leading all aspects of daily work activities and team performance. You will supervise and direct employees on the floor to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves installing all building components including HVAC units, windows, and doors, and reading and interpreting prints and bills of materials to ensure detailed execution. You will also be responsible for finishing the necessary paperwork and confirming all parts are shipped with the building. Additionally, you will operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and man lifts safely, and load and unload building materials with precision. Collaboration with team members and independent work are both expected, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected challenges with ease is crucial.

Requirements

  • Prior experience supervising or leading employees in a hands-on work environment
  • A proven background in construction or related field
  • Experience with assembly and installation tasks
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and handling construction tools
  • The ability to meet the physical and environmental demands of the job, including working in various weather conditions, lifting, pulling and moving heavy material, standing for long periods of time.
