About The Position

The Builder II is responsible for producing a variety of precast concrete products in accordance with established safety, quality, and production standards. This position performs intermediate-level building and forming duties and is expected to complete standard production tasks with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of precast concrete production and form-building processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints, CAD drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and perform basic production-related math.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and air tools.
  • Ability to perform standard Builder duties with limited supervision.
  • Ability to recognize basic quality concerns and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established production procedures.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other required equipment after appropriate training and authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Previous experience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred.
  • Previous experience working with hand tools, power tools, saws, air tools, and grinders preferred.
  • Experience reading blueprints, CAD drawings, or production drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and assemble steel forms for precast concrete products according to established specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, production drawings, and basic specifications.
  • Measure, cut, place, and tie rebar and steel mesh according to production requirements.
  • Prepare forms and properly position reinforcing steel, inserts, embeds, and other required components.
  • Assist with pouring, finishing, stripping, reworking, and patching concrete products.
  • Inspect work during the building process to help ensure products meet established quality requirements.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other industrial equipment as trained and authorized.
  • Properly use hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, air tools, and other production equipment.
  • Identify basic production or quality concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and established production processes.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
