Reporting directly to the Director of BUILD, you will provide comprehensive oversight of the career development and internship aspects of the program to ensure students successfully fulfill their requirements for a Certificate in Applied Studies. This highly collaborative position blends classroom teaching with program management: you will instruct up to 16 credits of career-focused coursework per year (3 in-person classes per semester), build relationships with regional internship sites, and direct student-led career events like internship fairs. Additionally, you will hire and lead a team of student Job Mentors who provide direct, on-site support to our interns. In this role, you'll play a vital part in Bethel’s mission to educate and equip students in a Christ-centered community. As a core member of our staff, you serve as a minister of the gospel by fostering a supportive, structured, and caring environment where students with intellectual disabilities can discover their strengths, build critical career skills, and grow into whole and holy individuals.
