About The Position

This position is for a Blending Operator on the 1st shift, responsible for fully running all mixers and operating/overseeing machines that blend ingredients into compounds for processing. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, including OSHA and GMPs, and the ability to work effectively with others.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to subtract, add, multiply, and divide
Ability to write in order to keep documented logs
High School diploma
Experience in a related field
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Report to work on time
Demonstrate the ability to work with others and follow directions
Understand safety procedures, OSHA and GMP’s
Lift 50 lbs
Keep work area clean including all tools needed for the jobs
Assist in performing changeovers
Safely operate hoist and electric pallet jack
Show initiative and willingness to learn
Demonstrate basic comprehension and math skills
Load ingredients
Turn mixer
Pull samples and load into bulk bags
Verify tickets
Box and label ingredients off of mixer
Check and verify ingredients in blends for accuracy in appearance and weight
Accurately fill out production report
Demonstrate understanding of mixing procedures (granular before powders, whole and leafy materials last)
Knowledge of codes for ingredients
Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner
Set up sifter
Enter data information into system
