About The Position

The Buffet Attendant takes pride in quality food presentation to ensure the best possible culinary experience for casino guests. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Motivates, leads by example and provides a learning environment. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.

Requirements

• Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
• Basic Food Safety Certificate an asset
• Food and Beverage experience is an asset.
• Must be able to work various shifts including nights, back shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Must have excellent customer service skills with guests and co-workers.
• Must be able to lift 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of Buffet Line during Open Hours.
• Replenish & Maintains all Hot Buffet food items
• Replenishing of Salad Buffet
• Replenish & Restocking of Dessert Station
• Ensuring all appropriate food utensils available for Guests
• Ensuring buffet line is set Prior to opening
• Assist with break down & Buffet closing duties
• Maintains cleanliness of Ice Cream Machine
• Minimal Preparations of Salad station Condiments
• Supports culinary team to ensure efficient operation of all culinary operations
• Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious
• Chooses to make everyday a great day
• Stays focused in order to be there
• Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day
• Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed
