About The Position
Hall Honda Virginia Beach, a division of fast-growing MileOne Autogroup, is seeking two full-time Buff & Touch Detailers to join their busy team. This role involves using machine polishing to restore paint gloss and precision paint touch-up to address chips and scratches, ultimately improving the vehicle's shine and reducing the visibility of defects. This is a Monday through Friday position with no Saturdays, operating from 7 AM to 4 PM.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, with 2 or fewer moving violations in last 3 years and ALSO no major violations in the last 3 years (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematic skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Nice To Haves
- Experience using machine polishing to restore paint gloss
- Experience with precision paint touch-up
Responsibilities
- Use of rotary or dual-action polishers to level clear coat
- Cleaning, sanding and applying matching paint to specific chips or scratches and finishing with clear coat
- Applying wax, sealant or ceramic coating as needed to protect newly painted areas
- Willingness and ability to jump in and assist in other areas of the body shop and reconditioning centers as needed
