The Collision Center Detailer ensures vehicles are clean, secured, and organized efficiently. They assist Estimators and Technicians to achieve an efficient, safe, and organized work environment, seeking ways to improve business operation efficiencies and customer service. This role also involves teaching and supporting other employees to be successful. The primary goal is to maximize production, customer service, and profitability. Responsibilities include washing, cleaning, and drying all cars to ensure they are ready for delivery, checking in vehicles by noting VIN, mileage, license, fuel level, and assessing for damage. Effective communication with technicians and management is crucial for maintaining a clean, organized, and secured shop and lot, adhering to OSHA/EPA regulations. The detailer advises the Collision Estimator and/or Manager of needed repairs and maintenance, ensures all vehicles are secured and locked before closing, and runs errands for parts, tools, and supplies. They also deliver customers to and from the dealership safely, maintaining a positive attitude and a secure, efficient route sheet for pickups and deliveries. The role requires completing all required training, maintaining confidentiality, handling job stress, and interacting effectively with others. The position demands operating with integrity, upholding high ethical standards, maintaining composure, and setting an example of a positive attitude and professionalism with a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
