About The Position

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, assists with product selections, follows company policies and procedures, and helps ensure a positive patient experience. The role involves advising patients about suitable cannabis products, educating them on safe use, processing payments, and supporting the dispensary’s daily operations, including inventory, merchandising, and opening and closing tasks. The position requires maintaining compliance with company and state procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and receive a state facility agent card.
Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other team members.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide patients with a positive experience.
Recommend cannabis products based on patients’ needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
Stay informed about new cannabis products and industry trends.
Process patient payments using the dispensary’s point-of-sale system.
Keep the store clean and well organized.
Educate patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
Check identification to verify patients are of legal age and have the credentials required to enter the dispensary and purchase products.
Take inventory of cannabis products and keep the sales floor adequately stocked.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks.
Follow company and state policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
