About The Position

A Budtender at Green Goods is responsible for working alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This role reports directly to the Dispensary Manager. You will participate in our startup team to help educate and safely deliver products to our patients and customers. You will assist customers and caregivers through the dispensary process/experience, and help train other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicines. You will complete operational requirements by maintaining an organized workflow, including verifying preparation and labeling of medications, order entries, and charges. You will comply with all state laws and regulations, and participate in record keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance. You will maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with custodial procedures, rules, and regulations, including infection-control standards such as handwashing. You will work on company initiatives to achieve set goals and performance indicators. You will educate customers on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medications. You will assist customers in determining the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and in conjunction with a provider’s recommendation. You will provide exceptional customer service to customers, potential customers, caregivers, and providers. You will maintain cash register and accountability for assigned drawer. You will complete opening/closing procedures as assigned. You will utilize computer systems and programs appropriately for daily operations, including customer communication, refill orders, appointments, and home deliveries. You will assist with incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of supplies. You will attend staff meetings and continuing education, as directed. You will maintain and safeguard entrusted confidential information. You will work with the eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accounts. You will assist customers in utilizing the eCommerce platform to obtain medical cannabis medications. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma and 1-3 years’ experience in a retail environment.
Proficiency with MS Office required.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable to change in the work environment.
At least 21 years of age, as required by law.
Weekend availability.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test as required by law. A positive marijuana test is acceptable if the applicant is a Maryland certified medical cannabis patient.
