About The Position

The incumbent of this position is responsible to perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records of the Department of Transportation Program.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or closely related field; and thirty-six months (36) months of professional experience in the field of personal finance; or Combination of sixty (60) months of education and work experience in the accounting or financial field
  • Proficient knowledge of utilizing computer aided systems.
  • Knowledge of collection practices; accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Ability to write and speak clearly, concisely and accurately.
  • Ability to perform the essential responsibilities and work tasks of the position.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet rigid schedules and strict timelines.
  • Ability to work with administrative staff, peers, other departments, and contractors.
  • Ability to initiate and conduct technical research, complete complex arithmetic, algebraic, and statistical computations, solve highly technical problems associated with payments.
  • Ability to function indoors in an office environment.
  • Sufficient hand-eye-arm coordination to use a computer keyboard and 10-key plus arm/hand movements to retrieve work materials and operate a variety of general office equipment.
  • Visual activity to read words and numbers.
  • Auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone and in person.
  • May Require a Valid Drivers License
  • If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance.
