Parsons is now hiring an experienced Project Controls Manager for our expanding portfolio of federal projects. We need staff to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. This role is primarily to support the design functions on refurbishment and renovation of small to large complex facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and systems. You will work with design managers, architects, engineers, project managers, and construction managers to provide schedule, cost, budget, and risk expertise to strengthen delivering quality design on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or business administration.
  • 15+ years of cost, schedule, and risk management experience.
  • Expertise in cost, scheduling, and risk tools such as Primavera P6, Crystal Ball, Deltek COBRA, Safran Risk, and Acumen Fuse
  • Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to obtain a DOE or DOW security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager of Federal Project Engineering in managing the business execution cadence for the Engineering Team.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast design costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones and impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to the Federal Engineering team for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of architectural and engineering plans and schedules; keep Federal Engineering staff and project interfaces fully informed.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering risks and opportunities associated with program and project performance.
  • Recommend and oversee the customization of project control systems and other performance management tracking tools to meet specific project requirements.
  • Create statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis.
  • Support business development efforts by providing input for proposals and participating in presentations, as required.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
