Budget Analyst
About The Position
Guidehouse is seeking a Budget Analyst to join their Capital Projects & Infrastructure Consulting team. This role involves analyzing financial data, tracking project funding, reconciling balances, supporting financial management practices, ensuring internal controls, providing support for financial audits, and performing financial analyses for projects. The position requires an active "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a "TOP SECRET/SCI" clearance after onboarding. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of experience in accounting or finance are required.
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI" security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- THREE (3) or more years of experience in accounting or finance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a budget analyst for construction work.
- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to process large quantities of information to evaluate costs, benefits, and project outcomes.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems while being able to clearly articulate complex ideas and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to solve complicated math problems as the job entails the disaggregation of data to form recommendations for a project to run effectively.
- Work with and understand spreadsheets, financial analysis programs and database functions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data from financial reporting systems.
- Track funding through the entire life of a project and reconcile all available balances.
- Support all financial management project governance practices by ensuring internal controls are met.
- Provide support for any financial audits that may arise.
- Provide financial analyses for projects.
