About The Position

Koniag IT Services LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Budget Analyst with a Top-Secret security clearance to support our government customer at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. The Budget Analyst is responsible for assisting the USW(R&E) and CDAO plan, monitor, and manage their finances effectively. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to evaluate financial data, prepare budget reports, and assist the USW(R&E) allocate resources effectively. They will work closely with CDAO leadership to develop budgets, monitor spending, and ensure financial goals are met.

Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field.
  • Must be familiar with DoD/DISA Budget Process.
  • Must have experience using automated DoD/DISA accounting systems.
  • Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.
  • Strong organizational management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop solutions in new and creative ways.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; proficient in all other Microsoft Office Suite application skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage large amounts of data, files, tasks, schedules, and information.
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
  • Top Secret-level security clearance (must hold clearance at time of hire)

Responsibilities

  • Works with program and project managers to develop the organization’s budget.
  • Informs program managers of the status of project expenses versus its budget.
  • Informs program managers via reports the status of availability of funds.
  • Assist program managers by supporting information and the relevant needed explanations.
  • Performs administrative and analytical duties in the formulation, presentation, and execution of the organization budget.
  • Monitors the execution of the administrative portion of the approved operating budget to ensure funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner.
  • Exercises budget controls and conducts studies of work processes, functions and procedures to improve operations.
  • Serves as the functional point of contact for day to day budget/financial issues.
  • Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
  • Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related Information.
  • Assist other team members in other specialties as needed to accomplish the overall mission
