Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or public administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in technical budget analysis or fiscal management work.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets; proficiency in MS Access for database querying and working knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, forecast, and monitor budgets for aid programs to ensure accurate allocation and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate federal funding opportunities; document claims and track utilization of federal funds.
  • Develop and submit financial reports, including required federal reporting.
  • Analyze operational and financial metrics for the Division.
  • Respond to requests for information, and other information concerning DHHS expenditures and revenues.
  • Develop fiscal estimate for pending legislation and regulation changes.
  • Work with large datasets to extract required information.
  • Perform complex analytical work involving the collection and evaluation of DHHS financial data, budget reports, and other information concerning DHHS expenditures and revenues.
  • Serve as a liaison between programmatic and business operations of the various Divisions within DHHS and the DHHS Financial and Accounting Operations to improve outcomes of the agency.
