Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or public administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in technical budget analysis or fiscal management work.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets; proficiency in MS Access for database querying and working knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities

Prepare, forecast, and monitor budgets for aid programs to ensure accurate allocation and compliance with funding requirements.
Identify and evaluate federal funding opportunities; document claims and track utilization of federal funds.
Develop and submit financial reports, including required federal reporting.
Analyze operational and financial metrics for the Division.
Respond to requests for information, and other information concerning DHHS expenditures and revenues.
Develop fiscal estimate for pending legislation and regulation changes.
Work with large datasets to extract required information.
Perform complex analytical work involving the collection and evaluation of DHHS financial data, budget reports, and other information concerning DHHS expenditures and revenues.
Serve as a liaison between programmatic and business operations of the various Divisions within DHHS and the DHHS Financial and Accounting Operations to improve outcomes of the agency.
