About The Position

KBR is seeking a Budget Analyst / Mission Resource Advisor to provide resource management support to HQ Combat Forces Command at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. This role involves informing decisions based on technical feasibility, financial performance, and program performance. The analyst will draft/review execution plans, provide financial reports, and process/review purchase requests within DEAMS. They will also conduct financial analysis for current and future year budgets, brief customers on funds execution, obligations/expenditures, and coordinate with stakeholders on these matters, including CCaRS reconciliation. Support for data entry and analysis in CCaRS, adherence to Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) protocols, and conducting HQ CFC funding and programming actions are key. Additionally, the role supports HQ CFC corporate processes, POM/UFR working groups, data calls, and Future Year Defense Program (FYDP) budget reviews to identify mission requirements. The analyst will also draft, track, and reconcile funding documents. Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.

Requirements

An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
5+ years of Budget Analyst, Resource Advisor (or equivalent) experience at the MAJCOM, Wing, or Squadron level.
Familiarity with fiscal resource and processes management tools including Automated Budget Interactive Data Environment System (ABIDES), Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaRS), Financial Management Suite (FM Suite), Commander’s Resource Integrated System (CRIS), Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management (DEAMS), and Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DARQ) software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a SCIF.

Nice To Haves

BA/BS degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute).
Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, STARCOM or equivalent.
Experience with US Space Force weapon systems and missions.
Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations.
Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
Accustomed to professionally working with internal / external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.

Responsibilities

Provide yearly financial execution support to HQ CFC.

Execute support in accordance with Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) protocols and standards.
Conduct HQ CFC funding and programming actions.
Support HQ CFC corporate processes, POM/UFR working groups and data calls.
Conduct Future Year Defense Program (FYDP) budget reviews and identify mission requirements.
Draft, track, and reconcile funding documents (e.g., AF Form 9, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests).
