About The Position

Under general supervision of the Manager, University Budget, incumbent performs a variety of budget related assignments supporting the University Budget office. Working independently, incumbent maintains budget information using integrated financial systems and/or other type of records management systems; compiles financial information; prepares financial projections, generates resource reports by creating and maintaining spreadsheets and data bases; computes and posts financial transactions; performs financial analysis; monitors and reconciles fund/account balances; prepares fund allocations; provides technical budget assistance to campus community; identifies process issues and provides input on system and process improvements; assists with the implementation and evaluation of new or revised processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or additional experience demonstrating acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in finance or accounting
  • Advance use and experience with MS Excel creating complex spreadsheets for large data sets
  • Experience with the creation of ad hoc data queries and analysis
  • Experience delivering financial presentations and training
