About The Position

Manage departmental budgets and financial and personnel-related processes, including purchasing, payments, reimbursements, contracts, payroll, and student and temporary employment transactions. Monitor expenditures, reconcile accounts, prepare reports and projections, advise faculty, staff, and area managers on fiscal and personnel policies, and resolve budget, account, payment, and payroll discrepancies. Establish and maintain financial tracking and internal controls, monitor compliance with University policies, and provide budgetary guidance and recommendations. Collaborate with the director and other University offices to ensure financial and personnel transactions, including student production allotments and Workday transactions, are accurate, timely, and compliant with University policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering budgets
  • Supervising office operations
  • Implementing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish priorities, explain procedures and resolve problems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years related experience with working in an Accounting environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
