About The Position

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Budget/Accounting Analyst to provide research support administration services for our government customer in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves preparing, developing, and delivering support for operational and acquisition-related financial management processes governed by DON and DoD comptroller policy. The analyst will also maintain a directorate SharePoint page for up-to-date information, including reports, acquisition templates, and travel forms. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining master tracking tools for various subjects, such as internal and external taskers, routed packages, and correspondence management. Monthly status reports on open documents, including commitments, unliquidated obligations, and disbursements, will be submitted. The role requires identifying and correcting accounting discrepancies and utilizing automated management information systems for analysis. Comprehensive financial and budget execution support for all appropriation types is expected, along with preparing, reviewing, and analyzing program execution documentation for government approval. The analyst will also prepare various funding documents using approved financial management systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years specialized experience or an associate’s degree with one (1) years’ experience with DoD, or a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, develop, and deliver support for operational, and acquisition related financial management processes governed by DON and DoD comptroller policy.
  • Maintain a directorate SharePoint page that provides user approved and efficiently accessible up to date information to all directorate staff that includes at a minimum a repository for reports, acquisition templates and travel forms.
  • Establish and maintain multiple master tracking tools for various subjects, to include the directorate:
  • Maintain and update tracking tools for internal and external electronic and non electronic taskers, routed packages, and correspondence management.
  • Submit monthly status reports on open documents to include commitments, unliquidated obligations and disbursements.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Utilize automated management information systems to perform fact finding, analytical, and advisory functions.
  • Provide comprehensive financial and budget execution support for all appropriation types.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze program execution documentation for government approval.
  • Prepare various funding documents (e.g., WX/WR, MIPR, PR, FADS, etc.) as provided by the Government, using approved financial management systems (e.g., ERP, ADVANA, and DTS).
