About The Position

This role will disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble, and test-run all elements of the line seven scaling and feeding system prior to the first shift start up. The primary focus is on maintaining cleanliness and supply of essential components for the food production line.

Requirements

Less than a high school diploma; no prior experience or training necessary; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Ability to read English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiple and divide with tens and hundreds.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Wash meat buckets, sticks, automatic linking systems, pallets, miscellaneous small parts daily.
Operate garbage and cardboard compactors.
Keep Formulation area adequately supplied with clean buckets.
Keep Stuffing area adequately supplied with clean sticks.
Occasionally check formulation and compactor areas to prevent accumulation of garbage and cardboard.
Wash plastic barrels, sweep outside areas, minor welfare upkeep is all done weekly.
Take responsibility in your work to produce a safe and quality food product.
Reporting all food safety and quality related problems to your supervisor, manager, or to the QA department to initiate action.
