About The Position

Turing is seeking experienced audio-visual production, broadcast operations, or media post-production professionals to work on projects evaluating and improving AI. The role applies technical expertise in audio and video production to test AI reasoning and help improve how AI supports media workflows, production processes, and creative and broadcast operations. Prior AI experience is not required. The work involves designing realistic media production and broadcasting scenarios, writing structured explanations of audio-video setups and workflows, assessing AI responses, and collaborating with AI researchers. Projects are approximately one month long, with the possibility of extension. The work is fully remote and offered as a contractor or freelance assignment; compensation varies by project. Turing does not seek confidential or proprietary information, trade secrets, internal organizational data, specific client information, or information that would violate confidentiality obligations.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience as an Audio-Video Technician, Broadcast Engineer, or Sound Designer.
Strong understanding of recording, mixing, and editing tools, such as Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
Familiarity with studio operations, live event setups, and media post-production processes.
Excellent English communication and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

Design and solve real-world media production and broadcasting scenarios to test AI reasoning.
Write clear, structured explanations covering audio-video setup, signal flow, troubleshooting, and editing workflows.
Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, technical depth, and practical relevance.
Collaborate with AI researchers to refine model understanding of production technology, creative workflows, and post-production standards.
