About The Position

Chariton Valley is looking for a full-time Broadband Technician to join our team. Following our mission, Keeping You Connected, Chariton Valley has provided state-of-the-art communication solutions to businesses and residents in Northeast Missouri for 70 years. The primary service area includes Marceline, Brookfield, Keytesville, and Carrollton. Applicants should reside within, or be willing to relocate to, the area to effectively support customer and operational needs.
The working schedule will vary, including evenings and weekends, as needed. This individual will be in a rotation for on-call duty.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of data and dial tone networks
• Working knowledge of HPBX phones
• Working knowledge of fiber optic cables and test equipment
• Working knowledge of DC power
• Ability to interpret network maps
• Ability to make quick decisions
• Ability to work well with others
• Excellent customer service skills
• Positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-starter
• Ability to work alone with little supervision
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Live within 20 minutes of our Hallsville CO

Responsibilities

• Cable locating
• Fiber splicing
• Installation and repair on analog phones, HPBX phones, data networks, and video services
• On-call duty rotation
