About The Position

United Fiber in Smithville, MO is looking to hire a full-time Broadband Service Technician. This position earns a competitive wage of $28.00/hour. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
0 to 12 months entry-level experience
Common knowledge of consumer computer equipment/router devices, telephone, TV and related home electronics.
Working knowledge of hand and power tools
Thorough knowledge of first-aid and CPR
Valid Missouri Class E driver's license
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds
Integrate business and industry knowledge into the job.
Ability to build working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Ability to flourish with both independent and collaborative work.

Nice To Haves

Trade school training and/or certification
One or more years of experience in customer premise installation of electronic equipment or low voltage wiring
Proficiency with CAT 5 and COAX wiring

Responsibilities

Work directly with customers in their homes installing fiber fast internet, TV, and phone systems.
Assist customers with any questions or issues they have with our products or services during the installation process.
Troubleshoot effectively and efficiently using knowledge of field services and network operations.
Be proactive about anticipating current and potential customer needs.
Develop own skills by attending regular team meetings and training.
Provide exceptional customer service.
