About The Position

Great Plains Communications is growing and seeking experienced Broadband Technicians in the Northeast Nebraska areas, including Norfolk, Wayne, Westpoint, Osmond, Wakefield, and Ponca. In this role, you will install and repair internet, phone, and TV services for business and residential customers, acting as a brand ambassador to provide exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

1-7 years of related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of electronics and testing equipment (EXFO Light meters, volt-ohm meters).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate bucket trucks, dig, and maneuver in crawl spaces and attics.
A valid driver's license, good driving record, and comfortable working outside under various weather conditions.
Strong verbal/written communication, troubleshooting, typing, and customer relations skills.

Nice To Haves

Fiber fusion splicing and provisioning experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, splicing, and repair of internet, phone, and TV services over coax, copper and fiber systems.
Help maintain mainline coax and fiber systems to ensure high performance.
Actively promote company products and services while delivering outstanding support.
Interpret and complete staking sheets, work orders, maps, and cable counts.
Operate company vehicles and equipment (bucket trucks), work non-standard hours (including nights/weekends/call-outs), and travel for training when needed.
