About The Position

The Bridges Analyst is responsible for integrating systems, developing, implementing, and supporting system interfaces between the Epic EHR and internal or external applications. This role ensures secure and reliable healthcare data exchange using industry standards such as HL7 and APIs. This position is responsible for supporting configuration and data interfaces through Epic Bridges. The analyst works closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to ensure secure and reliable data exchange across healthcare systems that support statewide public health and clinical services.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Epic Bridges with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong troubleshooting of application, database, Bridges, and interface issues
  • Strong hands-on experience with HL7, interface mapping, and interface engines such as Mirth Connect
  • Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2.x, FHIR, CCD, X12)
  • API and application development knowledge
  • Experience analyzing complex workflows and translating business requirements into system logic
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of SDLC practices
  • Knowledge of change management
  • Able to manage multiple projects
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development OR Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development OR High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
