About The Position

We’re looking for an Epic HIM Analyst who enjoys solving problems, improving workflows, and supporting the technology that keeps our health system running. In this role, you’ll help develop, configure, and support Epic HIM and related revenue cycle applications. You’ll work closely with clinical, business, and IT teams to translate operational needs into effective EHR functionality—while also training end users and supporting system upgrades, testing, and optimization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, IT, or related field (Equivalent experience considered)
  • Five years of progressive healthcare experience required
  • Background in clinical or business systems, EHR deployment, or workflow analysis
  • Familiarity with hospital software, databases, query languages, and system configuration
  • Understanding of inpatient, outpatient, and financial operations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, and Meaningful Use requirements
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to map workflows, create documentation, and support process improvements
  • Proficiency with web‑based technologies, reporting tools, and system configuration
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead meetings, and support project plans
  • Self‑directed, adaptable, and comfortable working independently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospital or medical center settings preferred
  • Experience in billing, scheduling, access services, or HIM is a plus
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding preferred
  • Experience with SAS, JMP, or similar tools is desirable
  • Hands‑on Epic HIM experience strongly preferred
  • Current Epic HIM certification preferred
  • Candidates without certification must complete Epic training and achieve certification within required timelines
  • Certifications must be maintained and kept current

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and support Epic HIM and related RCM applications
  • Build workflows, update documentation, and train staff on Epic functionality
  • Analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, and recommend system improvements
  • Translate business needs into EHR solutions in partnership with the Epic project team
  • Support testing, implementation, and ongoing system maintenance
  • Collaborate with clinical, business, and revenue cycle teams to solve problems and improve workflows
  • Participate in 24/7 support rotation as needed
