Oakland Academy is searching for a Bridge Teacher Grades K-6 to join our team! Oakland Academy is dedicated to delivering a high-quality education that reflects our mission, vision, and core values. We are seeking a committed and dynamic Bridge Teacher to serve students in grades K–6 by providing differentiated instruction, targeted remediation, and meaningful mentorship. This position requires strong instructional expertise as well as the ability to build positive, supportive relationships that foster academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Students in the Bridge Program attend on-site classes two days per week and attend virtual learning three days per week. The Teacher is expected to be on campus each school day to fully support the learning process. On virtual learning days, the Teacher is actively engaged assisting students with coursework, leading virtual instruction in individual, small group, or whole-class settings, and maintaining consistent communication with Learning Coaches (parents). The Teacher also works closely with students to accelerate academic performance, close achievement gaps, and improve outcomes on classroom and standardized assessments. Because this role involves a blend of on-site and virtual instruction, the ideal candidate must be comfortable using educational technology, confident navigating digital tools, and able to adapt quickly to an online learning environment. Strong technical skills and a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset are essential to supporting students and families effectively in a blended learning model.
