Bridge Structural Project Manager
About The Position
V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Bridge Structural Project Manager to join our Structural Group in Woodridge, Illinois. You will play a key role in delivering impactful infrastructure projects for clients including IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, county DOTs, and local municipalities, with a strong pipeline and continued growth ahead. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university.
- SE license required.
- 15+ years of combined experience in bridge and structural design and project management
- Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects
- Experience mentoring and developing staff
- Experience in projects for clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT’s and local municipalities
- Strong understanding of AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards
- Proficient in MicroStation.
- Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, Midas, STAAD)
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree with a structural focus is preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage bridge and structural projects from planning through design and delivery
- Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships
- Perform and review structural design calculations, plans, and specifications
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients to advance project goals
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client outreach
- Mentor and develop staff through technical guidance and project involvement
