About The Position
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join their Bridge Team in Atlanta (Midtown), GA. This role will support the planning, analysis, and delivery of bridge and structural projects, contributing to the design and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure technical excellence throughout project development, aiming to advance resilient transportation networks. CHA offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of office and remote work days.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required in bridge design
- Prior experience with GDOT projects required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Bentley software and GDOT in-house software
- Experience with interdisciplinary coordination with geotechnical, hydraulics, and environmental teams
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual, team-oriented environment
- Experience mentoring junior staff and delegating work to support project delivery
- Proven management experience developing scopes of work, forecasting effort, and maintaining client communication
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for bridge projects
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
- Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
- Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
- Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
