Founded by the Sisters of Charity of New York, the University of Mount Saint Vincent is an academically excellent, authentically inclusive, Catholic and ecumenical liberal arts university. The BRIDGE Program at the University of Mount Saint Vincent is a two-year, non-degree certificate program designed to provide young adults ages 18–24 with diverse learning needs an inclusive and immersive college experience. Through a combination of academic instruction, skill development, experiential learning, and individualized support, the BRIDGE Program helps students build greater independence, confidence, and readiness for life beyond college. Students develop and strengthen skills across six core areas: Education Career Exploration Executive Functioning Independent Living Self-Advocacy Socialization and Community Engagement Position Summary The Part-Time BRIDGE Program Instructor plays an important role in supporting the academic, personal, and professional development of students enrolled in the BRIDGE Program. The Instructor provides engaging and inclusive instruction, supports students in developing skills aligned with the program’s core areas, and contributes to an environment that promotes student growth, independence, self-advocacy, and success. Working collaboratively with BRIDGE Program leadership and colleagues, the Instructor also contributes to student advising and support, program planning, and the ongoing development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the BRIDGE Program. The Part-Time BRIDGE Program Instructor is scheduled for a maximum of 19 hours per week and reports to the Associate Director for BRIDGE Academic and Student Support.
