About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspector Intern for its Providence, Rhode Island office. This internship is designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena, helping to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027. AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Boston on October 21-22, 2026, which is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event includes a networking mixer and interviews.

Requirements

Must have completed 3 years of study in civil engineering.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational skills.
Motivated interest in Bridge inspection as a Team Member in the State of Rhode Island
1-2 cycles of internship experience in Bridge Inspection highly desired
Bridge Load Rating experience
Experience with AutoCAD, CsiBridge, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, AASHTOware BrM/BrR and MDX is a plus.
