Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or other related field)
- Must have completed 2 years of study
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of environmental data collection, identification, investigation, and data entry
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft office suite software applications
- Strong organizational, time-management, and written and verbal communication skills
- GIS and other data interpretation software skills are desirable (e.g., R, Grapher, Surfer, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Utilize basic scientific and technical principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to assist in developing solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
- Conduct field assignments, such as: soil, groundwater, surface water and/or soil-gas/indoor air sampling, remediation and construction oversight, soil/bedrock drilling oversight under the supervision of an experienced engineer or scientist.
- Interpret and record analytical and field data, perform data analysis, assist with data visualization tasks, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist with preparation of technical reports, summarizing findings and recommending remedial actions.
- Work under supervision of a project manager, technical lead, or other experienced team member.
