About The Position

Multi-state design firm is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for their team in St. Louis! This role provides high-level project design, reviews project documents and design quality for complex projects, and uses technical expertise to apply advanced engineering concepts and develop approaches to solve complex issues. The engineer will ensure the delivery of completed designs that meet quality standards and project objectives, conduct research in areas of considerable scope and complexity, and advise/lead staff on design approaches to fulfill project requirements. This role also involves working collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high-quality work, assisting with developing standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within the team, and mentoring/training junior staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
6+ years of experience
PE License
Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design and bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Expertise, Lpile, SPColumn, or MDX)
Extensive knowledge working on MoDOT bridge projects
Working knowledge of MicroStation software

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
