About The Position

AECOM's transportation team in Greenville, SC is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to work in the bridge/structures group. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible. The Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Builds analytic and design skills Conducts engineering design, calculations, sketches, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Creating innovative bridge designs using MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer Develops an awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision. Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research, code review. Communicates and collaborates with full design team and others. Supports and assists in the development of work products such as specifications, drawings, and illustrative graphics. Follows specific, detail instructions and set of technical approach for design. Develops details, edit specific and an awareness of QMS procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or in another related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of word processors and spreadsheet tools (Such as Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Experience in CADD/drafting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
