Bridge Engineer/Assistant Project Manager
About The Position
As a Bridge Engineer/Assistant Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Phoenix, AZ office, you will be responsible for leading design and plan development tasks and performing structural analysis and design of a variety of structure types, including highway, railroad and bike/ped structures. The ideal candidate will also be able to perform bridge inspections and load ratings as required. We are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with the desire to provide management and technical leadership to a talented group of professionals spanning all career levels.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis (M.S. a plus)
- EIT required, ability to obtain PE
- 5-10 year of relevant Bridge Design experience
- Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/structural design and analysis
Nice To Haves
- ADOT experience is a plus
- Knowledge of roadway drafting and design software such as Bentley MicroStation, Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead bridge/structural tasks as part of a project team, including plan and report production
- Assist in the development of project proposals, scope, and schedules
- Help to develop, monitor, and maintain engineering budgets
- Serve as a quality assurance team review member and mentor for a team of bridge/structural engineers
- Coordinate with sub-consultants and in-house technical staff to meet project deadlines, as required
