About The Position

RS&H is seeking a Bridge Area Discipline Lead for their Transportation Practice in Jacksonville. The role involves leading the bridge group, focusing on the structural aspects of bridge design projects, delivering projects through construction, leading and supervising a team of bridge engineers, and mentoring them in structural design and career development. The position also includes leading technical pursuits and proposal writing. RS&H is a leader in bridge design in Florida and works on high-profile projects, seeking innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• FL professional engineering (PE) registration with the ability to obtain comity in other jurisdictions as required.
• Experience designing transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, miscellaneous structures, and construction engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive structural engineering design experience.
• Good working knowledge of MicroStation, Excel, Mathcad, variety of Structural Design Software (examples include STAAD, MDX, LPILE, CONSPAN, RISA, LARSA).
• Experience working on traditional Design Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Experience working as Owner’s Representative on projects.
• Experience working on FDOT projects.
• Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree with structural emphasis preferred.
• Experience with Finite Element Method/Analysis preferred.
