About The Position

In the role of Full-Time Brewery Worker - Packaging at the Milwaukee, WI brewery you will be an equipment owner in the packaging department. You will be responsible for a specific piece of equipment or a sub-section of the equipment to include maintaining standards, re-applying learnings to like equipment, assisting in the training on the equipment, etc. The position reports to the Line Lead and works closely with other brewery workers and craftspeople. This role starts at an hourly rate of $22.00 with earning potential up to $34.46/hr upon demonstrated ability to perform Autonomous Maintenance within 18 months of hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Able to work full time, all shifts, all schedules, all days of the week to include weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience with computer operation
  • Comfortable with the physical requirements of this position including sitting, standing, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, crouching or crawling. Frequently lifting and/or moving items over 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and clear occasional jams
  • Complete quality checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks on equipment including valves, motors, pumps, filters, and gear boxes
  • Maintain equipment at base condition through regular cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and center lining
  • Find and fix defects
  • Update standards and create training materials
  • Benchmark equipment and submit improvement ideas
  • Identify and eliminate chronic losses through root cause analysis
  • Track and display equipment metrics
  • Driving/operating forklifts, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
