About The Position

Valley View Hospital is seeking a Breast Surgeon to join their established Breast Center program. This program serves patients across Colorado’s Western Slope and is located in Glenwood Springs. The role is ideal for a surgeon who values long-term patient relationships, multidisciplinary collaboration, and community impact within an independent, physician-aligned health system. The practice focuses on high-quality care, access, and continuity, without the pressures of a large academic or corporate environment. The role offers a balanced practice including surgical management of high-risk breast conditions, breast oncologic surgery, and longitudinal care from diagnosis through survivorship. It involves close collaboration with medical oncology, radiation oncology, imaging, and navigation, as well as participation in shared decision-making. There is an opportunity to help shape the future growth of breast services. The practice is designed to support thoughtful scheduling, strong care coordination, and sustainable work-life balance while maintaining clinical excellence. The Breast Center operates within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited cancer program and is integrated with the Calaway-Young Cancer Center. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary model including breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetics, nurse navigation, survivorship, and supportive services. The program also includes in-house plastic and reconstructive surgery for seamless coordination. Breast surgeons participate in a general tumor board.
