About The Position
Austin Radiological Association (ARA) is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join their team in Austin, Texas. ARA is a large and established radiology group with a 72-year legacy, serving Central Texas. The role offers a dedicated breast imaging focus, with options for a Breast Partnership or General Partnership Track, strong compensation, partnership potential, and work-life balance. The position involves interpreting various breast imaging modalities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. ARA is partnered with Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin to innovate in diagnostic imaging. The practice serves 24 hospitals and 18 outpatient imaging centers, with expansion plans.
Requirements
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (ABR or AOBR)
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure

Responsibilities
- Interpret screening and diagnostic 3D mammography
- Breast MRI interpretation
- Breast ultrasound interpretation
- MRI-guided breast biopsy
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration
- Collaborate closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Weekday breast imaging responsibilities
- Shared evening and weekend general radiology call (General Partnership Track)
- Includes diagnostic radiology responsibilities across body imaging, ultrasound, and plain films (General Partnership Track)
- Interpreting cross-sectional body imaging, ultrasound, plain films, and performing light body procedures while participating in shared call responsibilities (General Partnership Track)
- Dedicated Breast Imaging practice (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
- Screening and diagnostic mammography (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
- Breast MRI and ultrasound (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
- Image-guided breast procedures (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
- Breast imaging weekdays with select breast-only weekend coverage (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
- No general radiology call responsibilities (Breast Imaging-Focused Partnership Track)
