About The Position

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is seeking clinicians and clinician-scientists to join its Breast Cancer Program. The goal is to grow and fully develop an academic breast cancer program focused on clinical care and collaborative research, offering high-quality clinical and translational clinical trials. The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with existing basic science and clinical research capabilities. The focus is on fostering extensive opportunities for collaboration and development of breast cancer clinical and bench-to-bedside investigation initiatives. The duties of this faculty clinician position support the missions, goals, and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine. Academic rank will be based on qualifications.

Requirements

MD or MD/PhD
Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
Board certified in internal medicine
Board eligible/certified in hematology and/or oncology

Responsibilities

Care of patients with breast cancer
Clinical trials participation and development, if interested
Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes
Participate in administrative committees and councils of OHSU, as approved by the Chair and Division Head
Participate in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair
Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with the knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head
