Requirements

  • Less than high school education.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Willing to travel and work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rotation of all general production and labor duties in the breaking department.
  • Comply with Safety work rules at all times and reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.
  • Prevent bad eggs from contaminating finished products and ensure quality of eggs entering breaking room.
  • Remove all yolk from whites to ensure a high quality product during the separation process.
  • Keep machine running at top production speeds and follow each day’s responsibilities (whole egg vs. separating).
  • Follow USDA regulations.
  • Check cleanliness, air pressure, water pressure, amount of chemicals, and fullness of flats on the machines continuously during each shift.
  • Safely lift, carry and dump 30-50 lbs. buckets into augers.
  • Rotate with floor person as needed.
  • Be accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Correctly clean, dry, and tag flats.
  • Haul racks and stacker, tie and pick up all material neatly in the proper amounts and heights.
  • Dump inedible buckets from machines being loaded after the end of the shift clean up.
  • Ensure that ARUs are set up for production.
  • Communicate with the supervisor, maintenance and operators about any safety, maintenance or production problems throughout the shift.
  • Assist with the breaker operators.
  • Assist in proper rotation of shell egg inventory (FIFO).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
