About The Position

Grand View Lodge is looking for an attentive, guest-focused Server to join the team at Heritage, Breakfast. You'll be the face of the dining experience; taking ownership of your section, delivering personalized service, and ensuring every guest leaves feeling genuinely well taken care of. This is a role for someone who takes hospitality seriously: you know your menu, you read your tables, and you bring energy and professionalism to every shift. As part of a resort with 11 distinct dining concepts, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and your career within a dynamic, guest-centered F&B operation.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older; required, as this role involves the service of alcohol and wine.
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage service, including basic wine knowledge and food and wine pairing fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills; you're personable, professional, and adapt your style to each guest.
  • The ability to stay organized, prioritize, and stay composed when the dining room gets busy.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for 6–7 hours, climb stairs, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior serving experience in a restaurant, resort, or hospitality setting preferred; a genuine passion for guest service is what matters most.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up your section for service including pre-setting tables, water, bread, and any required condiments and supplies, ensuring everything is guest-ready before doors open.
  • Greet guests warmly, guide them through the menu, and make confident food and beverage recommendations based on their preferences and dietary needs.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and daily specials and communicate them clearly and engagingly to guests.
  • Serve courses promptly and efficiently, maintaining proper pace of service and checking in with guests throughout the meal.
  • Stay attentive to your section, proactively refilling drinks, clearing plates, and anticipating needs before guests have to ask.
  • Process orders and payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally; communicate any issues to your outlet supervisor or manager immediately.
  • Complete closing duties and full breakdown of tables, functions, and events as assigned — including resetting for the next service.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of the resort's amenities, outlets, and surrounding area to confidently assist guests with questions.
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed; great service is a team effort.
  • This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons is required.

Benefits

  • You'll be part of a team that genuinely invests in its people.
  • CoteCares isn't a tagline, it's how we show up for each other every day.
  • You'll have the tools, support, and team culture to do your best work, with real opportunity to grow your career across the entire Cote Hospitality organization.
