About The Position

The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a Breakfast Server to join our Reading Room Restaurant team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering a warm, inviting, and efficient start to each guest’s day. You will provide attentive breakfast service, take orders, and ensure guests enjoy a seamless dining experience in an iconic waterfront setting. This is a seasonal, full-time position from Spring to Fall, requiring early mornings and potentially including days, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work early mornings with a positive and energetic attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Friendly, dependable, and guest-focused mindset
Ability to carry trays and lift up to 30 lbs as needed
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive breakfast service
Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver in a timely manner
Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and dietary accommodations
Ensure tables are clean, set, and ready for guests at all times
Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
