About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant / Host welcomes guests and maintains the complimentary breakfast service, keeping food and beverages stocked, the lobby and dining areas tidy, and service on track and up to standard. The role includes preparing and displaying food safely, maintaining supplies and equipment, minimizing waste, and helping guests with questions or advice. The attendant is expected to follow the hotel’s standards for true hospitality and provide caring, confident, attentive, and timely service.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
• Good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Availability to work weekend and holiday shifts.
• Meet the minimum age and local food-handling law requirements.
• Fluency in the local language.
• Warm, welcoming, approachable, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow re-thermalization instructions for hot items, including thawing food in advance and using the oven for specified times and temperatures.
• Store and display food at the correct temperatures.
• Prepare for the next shift by stocking items in advance and thawing frozen items as needed.
• Keep food displays stocked and appealing throughout breakfast service.
• Keep coffee and condiments clean and fully stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in breakfast counters, front-of-house and back-of-house equipment, and lobby dining seating, in compliance with local laws.
• Report unsafe equipment, low supplies, and safety incidents to a supervisor or duty manager.
• Help guests with queries and advice.
• Wear the required uniform.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the team.
• Prepare appealing and enjoyable meals that meet the hotel’s standards.
• Maintain kitchen supplies and equipment and minimize waste.
• Follow safety procedures and wear necessary protective equipment.
• Provide caring, confident, attentive, and timely service to guests.
